Explore: We’ve just recently sold our house and bought another. The time period from beginning to end was very short. However, when we were in the middle of negotiations, it seemed to take forever!
If someone had said to me, “Linda, in a few weeks time you will have accepted an offer on your house, the deposit will have come through, and all your finance will be sorted for your new house”, I probably would not have believed them! When we look back on a season in our life we can remember the emotions, but they don’t seem as magnified as when we are experiencing them day-by-day. God has a plan for each one of us. He knows the best path our lives could take. Sometimes we are able to get a glimpse of what He has in store, but at other times we just take it on a day-by-day basis.
Knowing that God has our best interests at heart we need to step forward with faith, not worrying about what the future will hold. Trusting that God will give us a sign and our Saviour is right by our side.
Prayer: Lord, we can often get frustrated when we don’t know what lies ahead. Give us patience and faith that we will rely on You, no matter what tomorrow may bring. Amen.
What do you see your future holding?
