Your Future Seems Uncertain

There’s nothing greater than the hope we find in our Lord.
Reference: “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 43:5 NIV
Explore: An old friend and colleague has gone through a tough time lately. A restructure at work has meant his future is uncertain and some tough decisions need to be made.
While we don’t catch up much any more, I messaged my friend to let him know I was thinking of him and praying for him. I reminded him I was available with a listening ear if he ever wanted to have a chat.
While he didn’t take me up on the offer, he appreciated my message. It was a good reminder to him there were people around him who understood and were supportive of him.
Application: While we all go through tough times, it’s always nice to be reminded of the love and support we have around us. That’s another good reason why we read the Bible.
In Psalm 43, the writer is going through a difficult time, but reminds himself of the greater hope that is before him in God. While other people’s love and support is good, there’s nothing greater than the hope we find in our Lord.
He is there for us, He understands what we are going through and He will be there for us in our future. Put your trust in Him. There’s no greater hope you will find.
Prayer: Lord, may I never forget Your love for me. When all else seems lost, I will trust in You. Amen.
When has God’s hope given you strength?
